Right now we're seeing $2 million waterfront properties being sold to interstate and foreign owners who rent them on Airbnb a couple times a year. Meanwhile, working families who keep our cafes, shops and small businesses running can't afford to live here. We need development that creates homes for locals, not just holiday units. We need to help stabilise our rental markets and reduce barriers to get first home buyers into the market.
